The gentleman I talked with was very nice and willing to work around things. He showed me a small 1-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette which was very nice and well taken care of. People looked very happy, and there was camaraderie among the people. As an added convenience, we include all basic utilities and cable TV services with your flat monthly rental fee. In addition, our common areas feature free Wi-Fi for use by residents and their guests. When needing to do a little bit of laundry, there are complimentary facilities located at easily accessible spots within our community.

The hotel is beautiful and our room had an incredible, private view of the trees on the property. We really like Tarrytown House and have been several times. This was the first time in the mansion and it was nice.

However, you pay a flat fee, and if you don't go there, it's your choice but you still have to pay for it. They had lots of activities and we enjoyed our lunch there. It was very nice, and they were very friendly. They provided rides to take me shopping, etc.; however, the rides were not handicap accessible. They didn't have a dishwasher because they expect the people to go down to have their meals with them. I would, but it's just not my husband's personality.

We have met many of the residents there. I've never seen or had much interaction with most of the staff, but from what my sister says, they do what they can to help her. For example, you can take your car there and park, and whenever she did that, sometimes the battery would go dead. One of the staff members would go in his car and jump-start her battery for her.

We weren't there long enough and I didn't delve into it once I heard about the meal plan. I would recommend it to anybody who wants and needs meals. We tried their food and we had crab cakes, but they were not to my husband's liking. Tarrytowne Estates was nice, and they were very friendly. The big thing about it is just it's way too expensive for me, but everything was nice.

My parents were scheduled to move into Tarrytowne. The grounds were very nice, well kept, and beautiful. We have a friend whose mother has lived at Tarrytowne Estates for 11 years now. She is very active and she really likes it.

It is an independent living, but they seem to have a little bit higher level of care and concern than just a huge corporate independent living place.
It had a really roomy feeling leading to an open dining area that I thought was nice, too. There were people sitting at the table playing puzzles. I thought it was well designed and nice. A damage deposit of $90 is required on arrival. You should be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out.

Their dining area was nice and looked clean. It was in a very nice part of the city, but it was right next to an elementary school, so the traffic was bad in front. The apartments were a little too pricey. The person who helped us was very helpful and tried to help us as best he could, so that was really nice. The grounds are really pretty and had a varied number of activities. I liked the outdoors of the place, the walkways, and the trees.
